THE NEWSAGENT
Monique Cadd, Bridgewater

When Monique and her family returned from living in the Middle East, she was looking for a career change. She and her husband Rob bought the Bridgewater Newsagency 4 years ago.

“I find it a real balancing act, juggling the demands of the business and raising a family. But I love it!” She enjoys being self employed and working in an environment which is customer based. Her customers are what make her business. “A lot of my customers have been coming to the newsagency for years; they feel part of the business so they really want you to succeed. It’s something I hopefully will be able to do until I’m old and grey.”

Although Monique has no spare time at the moment to pursue other things, she would like to see more of country Australia – but that will come once her family has grown up and she and Rob are semi-retired.
