Paul Gosling, Stirling Police Station.
Senior Constable Paul Gosling joined the police force in 1968 and has been in Stirling for the past 22 years. For the past three years he has been in the front office rather than on general patrol.
“The best part about my job is helping people. The locals are always friendly and welcoming. I come across a wide variety of people which keeps each day interesting for me.”
Like all policemen, Paul wears a lot of equipment around his waist. “It’s a necessary part of the uniform but I must admit there are a lot of fellow officers with back ache due to all the gear we have to carry around all the time.”
When Paul isn’t at the station he likes to spend time with his family – hopefully off fishing and camping. “I’d like to do a bit of overseas travelling one day, and definitely spend more time travelling the outback of Australia – it’s fantastic out there!”
